Repurposed Ice Bucket!

by Melissa

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape. All opinions are 100% mine.

On Monday I mentioned that I would be posting about my thrifted ice bucket turned popcorn bowl. I found this ice bucket when I was out at the local Goodwill the other day and thought it would make a perfect bowl for popcorn. We like to go to the drive in and save money by taking our own popcorn and snacks along. The lid to this ice bucket seals so it keeps the freshness in.

I could have easily kept the ice bucket the same gold color but I wanted to give it a little pizzazz. I decided to use the FrogTape’s Shape Tape Wave in order to create this look in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Choose your Frog Tape® Shape Tape™ design. It comes in your choice of Chevron, Scallop and Wave. This one was created using the Wave design. Once you have your design picked out attach it to your ice bucket in your desired pattern. You can stagger the placement to vary the widths and create your own unique design.

Step 2: Paint the ice bucket. I choose to paint it white but to also let some of the gold bucket to come through. Gold is in so I decided to go ahead and leave some of the original color as well.

Step 3: Once your paint is dry you can remove the Shape Tape™ and you have your nice pretty pattern.

I love the Shape Tape™ by Frog Tape®  because it makes super crisp lines. It is created with a patented PaintBlock technology. This super absorbent polymer reacts with the water in latex paints to gel and form a micro barrier that seals the edges of the tape. No more ugly bleeds! The good thing is that this technology is also in their regular line of Frog tape.
