I don’t often wear high heels, but I’ll admit I love a good one. 🙂 I’m more of a flats kind of girl but with the right event or occasion I’ll slip on some heels.
I just happen to be watching the Miss USA competition Sunday night and caught a great tip that I just had to mention. It was on how to tell if your high heels are too high for you.
The tip… If you can stand in your heels and on your tip toes one inch off the ground comfortably your heels are good to go. If you can not they are to high for you. I just thought that was a super easy and simple trick but too good not to blog mention. I don’t even think I’ve heard that tip before but was glad to have caught it.
We all know that heels are bad for your body (even small ones) but sometimes as they say pain is beauty so at least wearing some that are not too tall for you will have your body thanking you in the long run.
While I’m mentioning a high heel tip I thought I would throw in a few extra ones just for the fun of it. 🙂
- Test drive before the big day! Meaning don’t wear your special event shoes just on that day. Just like a good pair of tennies your heels need to be broken in too. Wear them out grocery shopping or on quick errands to give them some feet time.
- Yoga Time! Don’t find that you have great balance for heels? Do some yoga to improve your bodies balance.
- Take a Seat! Sit ever so often when wearing heels to give your feet and back and everything else out of alignment a break. If you are going to be doing hard core walking I wouldn’t suggest wearing heels at all. Just say no! Ha…
Are you a high heel fan?
