Homemade Apple Butter: Slow Cooker Recipe

  • 4 Lbs. Apples Peeled and Chopped
  • 2 Cups Apple Cider
  • 1 Cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • A pinch of Kosher Salt


  1. Combine all ingredients in your slow cooker and let cook for 8-10 hours on low.
  2. Puree the mixture with an immersion blender or regular blender until smooth.
  3. Transfer the apple butter into mason jars or an airtight container. It is good in the fridge for approximately 2 weeks.
