Ideas for College Care Packages

By: Melissa Coleman Last Updated: Apr 22, 2022 This post may contain affiliate links.

My daughter is only 8 so we aren't even close to college age. Thank goodness! She is growing up to fast already and that is the last thing I am thinking about. However, there are plenty of my readers who have college aged kids and grandkids so today I am going to share with you some great ideas for college care packages.

Check out these ideas for college care packages to get your kid on track for a great first or new year of college.

PERSONAL CARE ITEMS:

Shampoo and Conditioner

Schick® Razors

Deodorant

Shaving Cream

MEDICINE ITEMS:

College kids have a tight budget so medicines can definitely take the back burner. Some great items to include in a care package would be allergy relief, cough drops, pain relief and cold medicine.

NON-PERISHABLE FOODS:

Food goes quick in a dorm room. Whether it is from late night studying or all your friends munching on your food the stash doesn't last long. Here are some great foods that you can send your kids that don't need to be refrigerated.

Pretzels

Hot Chocolate

Popcorn

Potato Chips

Snack Cakes / Granola Bars

Instant Oatmeal

Prepackaged Fruit Cups

Pudding Cups

EXTRAS:

Gift Cards

Quarters (for laundry if they need it)

Personal Letters

There are so many things you can send to your loved ones and ways to personalize it to just them. If you know they love specific things then definitely add those in. Most college aged kids don't have tons of money to spend and use what they do have on food and gas so being able to spoil them a little is fun. They will always be your babies right? I know that will be true for my own daughter whether she is 8 now or 18 later.  😉

Thanks to Schick® for sponsoring today's college care package post. I put a little package together in the picture above and got ours at Kroger. Here are a few pictures of our little shopping adventure.
