I am pretty sure I have mentioned how much I love the dollar store in the past. Today though I wanted to share with you a little pedestal stand that I created to sit by my kitchen sink. Plus it has so many more ways to use them as well.
This simple and easy pedestal stand can be diyed for $2. All that cuteness for a $2 dolla holla. Okay, technically if you don't have the appropriate epoxy on hand (like I did) then you will spend a little more but the epoxy will last you for many projects so that doesn't count right? right! haha..
All you will need is.... a candle plate (or round regular plate), candlestick holder and [easyazon_link identifier="B009EU5ZM0" locale="US" tag="thgisli03-20"]epoxy[/easyazon_link] (that works on glass).
You can pick up the plate and holder at the Dollar Tree and if you looked around you might could even snag some at your local thrift store even cheaper.
To make these all you will need to do is apply a good amount of your epoxy around the rim of the candlestick holder and center with the plate and attach. Allow to dry over night before using. Even if you use a larger plate or different style of candle stick holder you will do the same simple steps. You could even create a 2 or 3 tiered one. If you do this I suggest allowing each section to dry before attaching together.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention. You can also paint these to whatever color fits your decor style.
I used my pedestal in my kitchen as you can see above but there are more great ways to use them. They make perfect 3-wick candle pedestals and would also make great party table stands. How about a jewelry holder in your bedroom or if you are having a wedding they would make for some inexpensive and cute way to add something to your tables. If you used a bigger plate they would of course work great as a cake plate. Don't take my word for it though, go create a few and get to putting them to some good use.
So let me know... What would you use your diy pedestal stand for?
