DIY Furniture: Dresser

I started out with the intentions of making a sketch up and writing up a tutorial for this furniture build. Then I realized that whoa! that takes a lot of work. We went on vacation and this build was still not done. It was spread out over a good month and a half. I was over this project by the time we finished but I must say it's one of our favorite builds. 🙂 I guess you get the point, the tutorial didn't happen. I still may try to sketch one up but it might be a bit.

Here are a few of the in progress building photos.

Do you spot bubbles in the picture above? Trying to build something when you have a 5 year old daughter to entertain at the same time is quite amusing. Depending on who was working on what part of the project the other (my husband or myself) was either playing with sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles or making mud pies. Haha!

We used Minwax English Chestnut to stain it. That is one of our go to stain colors if you haven't noticed in almost all of our builds.

If you are new here you can check out all our different builds under the projects category.

Thanks Carissa! Yeah, we had a lot of things broken when we did our last PCS (military move) and it was mainly because it was all fake wood. I'm slowly but surely getting all of those things replaced in our home with real wood, mainly built by us. :)
