How to make a popsicle stick dog Valentine craft for kids!
Step one is to download the printable (find the link below) and print the PDF. You can print on to cardstock if you want the pieces to be a little sturdier.
You can also just use black and pink construction paper to cut out some hearts.
Whether you download and print or draw hearts on construction paper you can now use your scissors to cut each of the shapes, then cut the large heart in half.
Lay the large popsicle sticks on a flat surface and glue the small stick to the back to hold them in place. We just used a random yellow one we had on hand.
Glue the two halves of the large heart to each side of the popsicle sticks to make ears.
Turn the medium-sized heart upside down and glue it to the bottom of the popsicle sticks.
Glue the small heart to the tip of the black heart as the dog’s nose.
Glue two eyes between each ear.
Use the marker to draw dots on each side of the nose.
Want to cut the hearts from your Cricut?
Download the free PNG file (find the link below) and upload it into Design Space and select the print then cut option.
Send the design to your printer, then place the printout on the cutting mat and load it into the Cricut. Cut the design and remove it from the cutting mat.
