1-2-3 come and create this Green Eggs and Ham Paper Plate Craft with me!

There is no better way to celebrate Dr. Seuss than with an adorable craft to go along with one of his beloved books. Green Eggs and Ham is such a fun one too!

Work together to create this fun little Green Eggs and Ham craft while you also gather around and read the book together. It also works great for preschool cutting and gluing practice.

You can even make up some of these Green Eggs and Ham Pretzels for a fun and quick snack idea.

Materials you will need:

  • Paper Plate
  • Green Eggs and Ham Printable
  • Glue Stick
  • Scissors
  • Craft Paint (optional)
  • Construction Paper (optional)

How to make this Green Eggs and Ham Paper Plate craft!

The first thing you will want to do is print off the free green eggs and ham printable. If you don't have a printer available you can still easily create this craft with white and green construction paper.

If you are going to use the construction paper method just have your child or children draw out the shape of a couple of eggs.

You can use the same shape as the printable or however the child sees an egg in their eyes. You will also want to cut out 2 green circles for the yolks and a green-shaped ham.

My colored ink stopped working just as I went to print this and we ended up having to color in the green portion. It will come out much crisper if you have full ink but if yours happens to do the same then no worries, coloring it in looks cute too.

Whether you decided to use the printable or make some from construction paper it is time to cut them out.

At this point, if you want to paint your paper plate you can also do that.

We just decided to leave it white because that is the color of the plate in the book, but you could paint it gray, red, blue, etc.

Whatever color you like best. Allow it to dry before moving on to the gluing step.

Once your plate is prepped you are ready to glue on your pieces.

That is all there is to this super simple and sweet little green eggs and ham paper plate craft.

It is perfect for even the smallest crafters in the family.

They will love to get involved in celebrating Dr. Seuss and his quirky spirit too.
