Let your spooky side show this Halloween with this fun spider web craft

Learn how to make a not-so-scary popsicle stick spider web craft out of popsicle sticks and yarn with these simple step-by-step instructions.

 Things you will need:

  • 3 craft sticks
  • craft glue
  • white craft paint (or whatever color you choose)
  • yarn (you can use white, black, a mix, etc)
  • plastic spiders optional

Directions for creating a popsicle stick spider web

First, you will want to take 3 popsicle sticks and glue them together in a snowflake pattern.

Once the glue is fully set, use your craft paint and paint the spider web white. Allow drying!

Use approximately 3-4 feet of yarn (give or take depending on if you plan to hang them) and tie it onto the middle of the web.

Now you will start wrapping it around each spoke. Continuing in a crisscross pattern and spreading it out a little as you go around.

Once you get to the end of the spider web tie an additional knot. If you are going to hang the spider webs you can leave the rest of the string hanging otherwise just trim up the excess yarn.

If you picked up some plastic spiders you can just attach them using hot glue or if they are rings like the one I used just hook one around the stick.

These popsicle stick spider webs don’t have to be just white. You can paint them in Halloween colors such as orange and black or just let the kids pick their own favorite colors.
